Obituary
Cheryl L. Conard, 70, Timken, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.
Cheryl was born August 23, 1949, in La Crosse, Kansas, the daughter of Edward and Mildred (Dempewolf) Sauer. She was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas. A 1967 graduate of La Crosse High School, La Crosse, Kansas, she was an Administrative Assistant at La Crosse Furniture Company, La Crosse, Kansas, before her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and St. Ann’s Altar Society, both of Timken, Kansas. Cheryl was also the Team Leader of the Triple C Wildcats Relay for Life Team. She was a member of Prairie Pals EHU, and volunteered assisting with the distribution of the commodities in Rush County, Kansas.
On August 24, 1968, she married Terry Conard at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas.
Survivors include: her husband, Terry Conard, Timken, Kansas; two sons, Chad Conard (Valerie), Parker, Colorado, and Chris Conard (Julie), Leoti, Kansas; one daughter, Tonya Hillman, Jetmore, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Tyler Conard, Kelsie Conard, William Conard, Jaycee Hillman, Caitlyn Conard, Allison Conard, and Myles Conard; two brothers, Jim Sauer (Judy), Wichita, Kansas, and Mike Sauer (Jana), Kearney, Nebraska; and four sisters, Gloria Morgan (Lance), Alexander, Kansas, Marie Herrman (Jim), Sharon, Oklahoma, DeAnn Mahoney (Pat), Geary, Oklahoma, and Suzanne Sauer, La Crosse, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Joe Sauer.
Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, Kansas, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A vigil service and rosary will be at 7:00 P.M.
Church visitation will be Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 9:00 A.M. to 9:50 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken, Kansas.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken, Kansas, with Father Stephen Dabanka officiating. Interment will be in the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken, Kansas, or Sunflower Diversified Services, Inc., Great Bend, Kansas.

I just learned last night (2/29th) of Cheryl's passing and am so very sorry! She was such a lovely person, so thoughtful and kind. Boyd and I thought so much of you and Cheryl, Terry, and of your family. My thoughts are of all of you, especially Chris and Julie. My brother went to school with her. I remember seeing her senior picture, and I thought she was so

Heaven certainly gained an angel when Cheryl passed. Terry and all of your family,you will certainly miss Cheryl but many friends will greatly miss her also. The water exercise class will certainly miss her and her great friendship.

Cheryl was a rare jewel. She helped so many and always put others first. I am so glad that I got to
know her well over the past several years. Right now my heart is breaking. To Terry, her kids, and
