I remember Aunt Genita young and vibrant. I haven't seen her in half a century, last time at the Mather's house in S. Windsor. But she is one of those unforgettable people. My mom Polly, also precedeased her by many years but they were the very best of penpals sharing letters and family photos and all sorts of news. This unsinkable lady, full of life and love and courage, can only have moved on up. Hope she and Polly are having a very good reunion up there. Blessings on you all.

To all of Genita's family, you filled her life and will carry on her special ways. Brian and I am so sorry for your loss and I will miss her. The time spent with Genita was special and as Cathy and Anne said she was so welcoming and it was as if we where home when we where in Kansas. Genita was gracious and kind and had a natural ability to be a mom, grandmother and great grandmother. Her energy and talent were amazing.

As I read the long list of sons, daughter-in laws and grand and great grandchildren, and know that she loved each one, I can't help but think how very successful she was in life with her wonderful family and all the extra contributions and volunteer work she did.

I will always be grateful for the time I had with her, and I think she will be watching over my Kansas cousins. Mary Lou Mather Jenkins

The family in the east are all thinking of you this week. Even as far away as we are, we will miss her cheerfulness, kindness, and knowing we were always welcome no matter how long it had been since we were last there.

My mom loved and admired your mom. Wish our mom had lived as long as yours, but the main thing
is that the pain, the big hole in your heart, it's the same, regardless of when you lose a loving mother.
Thinking of you across the miles.

Dear Family, Rhon and I were so sorry to hear of Genita's passing. She was quite a
lady. She was unfailingly kind to cousin Mary Lou and I when we traveled to her house
to visit the Corsairs in 1975. Genita's kindness, good humor and generosity was
gratefully accepted by we "Two Broke Girls". We must haven eaten hundreds of her
Snickerdoles by the time we left a month after we arrived. We stayed in touch several
times over the years and I was always surprised and overwhelmed at all the good
deeds she did, clubs she belonged to, and that she kept tabs and proudly recounted
the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, and great-grands.. She loved
her whole family, and set such a good example. I am sure that she faced her last
challenge with good cheer and as they have said, "A Lady always knows when it's time
to leave." Heaven has her in it's beautiful peace. Rhon and I are so happy that we
    could know her!
