Obituary
On Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 Mary Ellen went peacefully to be with the Lord at age 88.Mary was born and raised in NE Kansas City along with her eleven siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, F.E. and Mary Ellen Stokes, and her sisters Frances, Rosalie, Edna, Sherry, Jane, and her brothers, Doc, and Jack.
Her surviving siblings are Roberta, Ron, Bonnie and Terry. She is also survived by her children Mindy (Bob) Sauceda, Larry (Debbie) Cunningham, Mike (Joyce) Cunningham and Brad Cunningham. Mary has five grandchildren Tracy (Chuck) Parsons, Emily (Mark) Baum, Mary (Zach) Bowers, Travis (Amy) Velder, and Ross (Amber) Cunningham. Mary also has seven great grandchildren, Corrie Jane, Bea, Asa, Teddy, Ari, Brantley and Landon. She is also survived by many greatly loved nieces and nephews.
After raising her children Mary enjoyed working at the N. E. Community Center where she served both young and old for several years. She also served meals and planned activities for senior citizens at North Brighton townhouses.
She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
