Obituary
Mark Paul Sherman died Tuesday, November 12th 2019. He was born August 1st 1956 in Omaha, NE to Carl and Carole (McDonald) Sherman. As a child his family moved around the Midwest and Northeast before settling back in Omaha. He joined the US Marine Corps in 1976 and was honorably discharged in 1980.
After proudly serving his country, he moved to Kansas City, MO where he met his former wife and raised his family while working as an engine and auto mechanic for Arrow Material Handling, Sears Auto Center and Goodyear. Mark was a dedicated family man who was always there for his loved ones whenever needed. In the eyes of his family, he was the ultimate badass and always seemed to know the right way to handle a situation. He was our rock.
He was preceded in death by his father Carl. Survivors include his mother Carole Lenger of Gladstone MO, his former wife and the mother of his children Joan Pind of Kansas City MO, his children Nathan Hrenchir of Orlando FL, Cyndi Sherman of Overland Park KS, Sarah Jones (Mary) of Olathe KS, Paul Sherman of Kansas City MO, and Anna Sherman of Kansas City KS, his unofficial adopted daughter Staci Hutchison of Kansas City MO, grandchildren Elijah and Zoey, sister Debbie Sherman of Gladstone MO, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm Wednesday November 20th at Charter Funerals Sunset Chapel 16731 Springdale Rd, Leavenworth KS followed by burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to funeral services at 11am. Contributions may be made in his memory to Be Head Strong Inc. or Kansas City Hospice
